PhD Candidate

Elizabeth Buechler

Elizabeth (Lily) Buechler is a 5th year Ph.D. Candidate in Mechanical Engineering, advised by Professor Rajagopal. She is a Stanford Graduate Fellow and NSF Graduate Research Fellow and also works with the Grid Integration, Systems, and Mobility (GISMo) group at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. She received her B.S. from Tufts University in 2017 and M.S. from Stanford in 2019, both in Mechanical Engineering. She is interested in the intersection of machine learning, simulation, controls, and optimization in power system applications. Her current projects are focused on learning-accelerated power flow simulation, data-driven power system optimization, and data-driven load modeling and control for providing grid services.
