powerNet is a Stanford Computer Science project
We are monitoring the power consumption and utilization of the Gates building computing infrastructure.
Currently, all participant have voluntarely installed power meters between devices and electrical outlets.
The off-the-shelf WattsUp.Net use HTTP to communicate data to the powernet server.
802.15.4 wireless meters form a mesh network and report data to a base station.
